UPLOAD Commentary

Hello everyone!

This week was a GREAT one for upload. I just had to comment. Let me know what you think too!

Base Runner Pant III

These are incredibly soft, so comfortable and great for winter, in my experience. These are the newest incarnation of the Base Runner pants, and I can only hope that I will be as satisfied with them as I have been in the past. Here they are in heathered dark fuel/ menthol, and heathered bordeaux drama/ bon bon.

Personally, I prefer the heathered bordeaux drama, but the Fuel green are gorgeous too! Which ones do you like? Or get? Not a fan of these colors & just get the black ones? Let me know!

Fleecy Keen III

This jacket has been popular for a long while and people have been really excited to see its return.

I thought it would be a good idea to post its many features:

  • Fleece fabric is super soft and lightweight
  • quilted Glyde fabric helps protect against light wind and rain
  • zip on the removable hooded dickie and cinch the drawstrings to hold onto heat
  • reflective details help keep you visible in low light
  • unzip the vents on the arm and shoulder for a little extra airflow
  • thumbholes and Cuffins™ sleeves help keep your hands warm
  • imported

Run: Inspire Crop II *All

Luxtreme

LOVE these. I have the Wunder Under Crops in this pattern, so I don’t need them, but if you like this pattern, these are a great option.

Kanto Catch Me Short

These shorts aren’t getting a lot of buzz on the boards, but the Ultra Swift/ Luxtreme combination is likely to be very comfortable- and I predict that they will sell well. Here are the specs:

  • Swift Ultra fabric is four-way stretch and sweat-wicking
  • Luxtreme® fabric waistband is sweat-wicking
  • added LYCRA®Â fibre for great shape retention
  • our signature three-pocket waistband has room for your essentials
  • reflective details help you shine bright in low light
  • relaxed sensation
  • imported

I’m curious about these and hope they show up at my store.

UPDATE: I bought these shorts and they do not fit like I thought they would. I thought they had a liner but they don’t. If you’re a curvy girl like me, you might want to reconsider getting them- or maybe size up.

Now, when I tell you that people hate this, it’s not a complete picture. They don’t hate scrunchies, or this scrunchie in particular. What they hate is the price. $12. “A $12 Scrunchie!?” If you’re like me, though, what you don’t see is a scrunchie, what you see is a relatively inexpensive way to own a piece of the Lululemon brand. Over the holidays (which is what every retailer in the country is gearing up for right now), many parents go into Lululemon stores across the country and buy things for their teenage daughters, who want a piece of the Lululemon cache. I’ve seen many parents go in, and instead of pants, they buy their teenagers a headband. They’re a great stocking stuffer, and not as pricey as a pair of pants. I know, I know, what about Ivivva? Ask a teenager whether or not they think Ivivva is cool. Half the answers will be either ‘no,’ or ‘that’s what my little sister and her friends wear,’ and the other half will be ‘what’s ivivva?’ Ivivva is not a well-known brand. That matters. Lululemon was ranked 29th last year in terms of brand value– Ivivva was not on the list.

So, this upload, in addition to these cute scrunchies, they’ve uploaded several new headbands and new colors of the headbands that were already online and I am sure, that many of these will sell well. Personally, I’m on a boycott until they bring back the Bang Buster.

What do you think about the scrunchie? Did you buy one?

Lululemon OOTD #64 & 65

Hello, Hello!

Today I started purple, and finished off pink, so two OOTDs today!

This is earlier today, Bruised Berry DSJ, 105 F Singlet with matching Space Dye Flow Y bra and Inspire Crops

Base Runner 1/2 Zip in Raspberry Mini Check Pique, under a Go the Distance Vest with Glyder Mantra crops in Pink Champagne Space dye

Lululemon OOTD #63

Rest Less Pullover in Ultra Violet and Right Round pants (does anyone know the official color of grey these are?)

The purse is actually from Zara from a long time ago. Funny story: I saw it in the window, but was told by the sales lady that they were sold out. She said that the sales associates were not allowed to remove the one on display, because “they have people for that.” So, I was told I would have to wait until they changed the display so that the one on display would return to the sales floor- THEN I could buy it. Long story long, I walked by every day on my way to class to see if the window display had changed. Until it did. Victory.

Thanks for stopping by!

Today’s outfit included a Define Jacket in Royalty Space Dye, a black Back on Track tank and a Pleat To Street Skirt in Pigment Blue. The bag is a Fast in Flight in Lolo.

200 Posts!

Hello everyone! Today, WordPress let me know that I wrote 200 posts. Wow. That’s a lot more than I had originally imagined when I began this fan-site blog. I’ve had a lot of luck and positive experiences plus, for whatever reason, people actually read what I write and I get a decent amount of traffic. Thank y’all for coming by & checking it out! Also: Thanks, Google!

So, in honor of my achievement, I’m going to write about my favorite posts & experiences garnered from this blog. Call this a “gratitude post.”

The posts I’m most proud of…

Honestly, I have to give this distinction to my Seller’s Series Posts. I JUST published this Page, as a compilation of  almost all the posts I’ve written that are related to selling. Is there anything missing in this series that you’d like to see?

The posts that receive the most traffic…

This is the easiest question to answer because WordPress is awesome and tells me!

The first is a post about How to Spot Fake Lululemon. It is exactly what it sounds like. This post is about how to distinguish, to the best of my experience and knowledge, fake versus authentic Lululemon. In that post there are several photos and tips about how to figure out if what you’re buying is real or fake.

The second post that receives the most traffic really surprised me until I looked around for alternatives. That post is about The Difference Between Paying as Gift and Goods on PayPal. Unfortunately, I don’t feel that PayPal does the best job of explaining exactly how this works, and I feel that my post gives a thorough explanation of exactly how you are protected by PayPal and when.

The reason I feel that PayPal doesn’t have the best explanation is because, if you search “difference between gift and goods on PayPal,” PayPal’s website comes up with explanations of the different types of payments, but the website doesn’t explain how or when you’re protected. For example, under gift, PayPal writes “Select this payment type when you’re sending money as a gift for a birthday or other special occasion.” What it fails to mention is that people are not protected when they use this payment.

The other available posts are community boards, which some people may find tedious to scroll through, so I think that my post, while it is “Lululemon-centric” is better at explaining how and when you’re protected and when you’re not.

The experiences I’m most happy about…

I love interacting with my audience, I wish I could ‘like’ when people ‘like’ my posts. Hahaha… I am glad that I tried Barre classes, even though I don’t love it. I was super stoked that I was interviewed by Racked, it made me feel like a real blogger -whatever that means. I suppose, to me it means that I was happy to receive validation for what I do. That someone reads my blog and that what I do has value, other than the value I place on it. I love doing favorites posts, and love that pieces I’ve ‘favorited’ over the years, I do continue to enjoy.

The happiest Lululemon news I received

Easily the return of the Define Jacket. I LOVE the Define Jacket. I refused to purchase the Forme Jacket (which replaced the Define, during its tenure), due to the distinct differences, particularly with regards to fit. I was so happy when Lululemon decided to bring it back! It’s feminine and flattering on everyone.

So, 200 posts later, I’m still here. I still LOVE to write (that’s not gonna change), and I still LOVE hearing from you! Please let me know your thoughts on this blog and if there’s anything I can do better!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR READING!!!
