The NEW Blissfeel Women’s Running Shoe

I love getting mail. It’s so fun! And when I got notified that my new Blissfeel shoes had just been delivered, I excitedly ran to my front door and opened the box!

I chose black because they go with everything.

First Impressions of the Blissfeel Shoe by Lululemon

I put them on, and for me, I immediately noticed the wide toe box. However, I want to acknowledge that others, in reviews, say the toe box is small so, that may be an issue with these. You may just want to see for yourself 🙂 I heard that you may want to do a half size up. Personally, I am between sizes. So, usually, I am an 8, so for Toms and heels, I go with the 8, but with running shoes or if I happen to buy very fitted shoes (think Vibrams) I go with an 8.5. So, with these, I got the 8.5.

I was really happy to hear that they analyzed women’s feet when designing these, but I would have liked to hear more about the material used. I also hope to see them cross-sectioned one day.

Straight out of the box, they smelled a little of plastic, but that disappeared after a day or two and they also made an air(?) noise that went ‘squish’ when I walked. That also disappeared quickly.

I noticed that I could feel the arch support and that was nice: I can always use some arch support! However, some reviews state that they didn’t feel enough arch support, so it might be one of those things that you’ll need to see for yourself.

There are logos everywhere. There’s one on the back, one on the front, one on the sole, some on the aglets and one on the inside of the shoe. I am not a huge fan of that many, but the shoes are still cute.

I also want to address the shape of the tongue of the shoe. It is thin, and it did dig into the side of my foot once, but I adjusted it and that didn’t happen again. Just felt like I should call it out, given the unique shape.

I wore these for over a week- I wore them jogging, I wore them on several long walks, I wore them for regular, daily activity and the results are: They’re fine. They didn’t hurt my feet, but I prefer more cushion than what they provide.

Conclusion

I don’t love them, they’re just okay. I won’t be returning them or anything, but this morning, when I was looking at them, and at my ASICS, I chose the ASICS. They’re just more comfortable. They’re the same price. So, in the future, I will buy more ASICS.

Unfortunately, I just don’t “love” these and for the price, I’d rather buy a shoe that has more padding and is more comfortable. They are cute though, and I don’t think they’re uncomfortable, not at all, they’re perfectly fine, just not as comfortable as other comparatively priced shoes.

What do you think about these shoes!? Let me know in the comments below!
