If you have any issues with a photo or accidentally post private info when commenting, just reach out and ask me to erase the thing. I’m pretty easy to get a hold of. I don’t personally collect any information, except your email if you choose to sign up! Google collects some data, but it’s just anonymous data they use to tell me how many people visit my site, and maybe how they found me, if that information is available. In any case, if you have any issues, please reach out.
If you sign up to be notified when I post something new, WordPress collects the email, and automatically sends you something when I post. I am able to find them if I go into the backend of my blog. I doubt I’ll ever send you anything personally, but if I do, it will be when something big happens…. like if I ever publish my book, but to be perfectly honest, I’ll probably just write a post about it, and since you signed up to receive the emails, that will get emailed to you that way and poof- now I don’t have to email you personally, WordPress will do it for me. If you do sign up, Thank you. I appreciate that you’re interested in what I have to say. Oh, and I have never shared anyone’s email or anything, that’s not cool.
Cookies
In order to be compliant with GDPR, I need a notice that this website collects cookies on the bottom of my page. It’s a European law that applies everywhere, no matter what, so I am doing my best to respect that. That said, I now have a “cookies” notice. I don’t personally collect any information on your computer but Google collects it to tell me potentially what country you are from, so I get a pretty map like this:
CloudFlare also uses your location for speed, so the website loads the fastest possible. GoodReads uses a cookie to determine your preferred language. They just help my website function and help it run faster and provide some analytical data.
