UPLOAD: Week of July 21

This is the FIRST week of Tuesday Uploads!

I’m so excited about this one. I am really liking what I’ve seen so far of the new Great Granite print and I hope to try it in either the CRB or the Pace Setter. I’m somewhat torn though, because they’re also coming out with Wunder Unders and Inspire Crops. So many great pics of this new print!

I’m not loving this jacket- Australia got some cute Downtime Jackets that I’m going to hold out for.

The Pace Setter on the other hand is adorable.

But then again, I could always get Wunder Under Crops or Inspire Crops…

And there’s always the trusty CRB

Oh, and Scuba Hoodies are coming back- fall approaches!

Of course one could be tempted to forgo this print altogether and just…BUY ALL THE CAMO

and snag these:

I’m more into these:

But I already have the Inspire Crops in the Bruised Berry Space Dye, so I’m not 100% sure I need these. However, I will want to at least try on the Run For Fun crops in store. I’m also wondering what the difference is between these and the Run For Your Life crops.

Also: I’m absolutely adoring all the Heathered Swiftlies Lulu is coming out with lately, Jeweled Magenta and Bruised Berry are gorgeous and this week we have Heathered Cadet Blue:

Well, that’s all I’ve got for you so far- I hope to update with more as photos of what’s new become available- particularly the Stride we’re supposed to be getting in the Great Granite print. Where’s that at!? LOL. What caught your eye this upload? Let me know in the comments below!

UPDATE

I found a couple more pictures I’d like to share with y’all!

I really like this feature on jackets, and the Bring Back the Track jacket has it! The hood zips away when not in use!

  1. Hi there!
Thank you for liking one of my blog posts about fitness. I personally love the Lululemon brand and enjoyed browsing through your blog. I would like to gather your opinion regarding Lululemon being one of the 10 brands on Wall St. 24/7’s list of “10 Brands That Will Disappear in 2015”. Ever since the controversy regarding Lulu’s diminishing quality, the company has been suffering in its stock value and revenue. Do you think the brand will survive?

    1. Hello! I’m glad you like my blog! I saw that article when it came out and it’s very difficult to provide a complete response to your question in a comment. I was considering writing a response to the article in a post, but it will take a lot of research (I would be analyzing Lulu’s financials myself) and a lot of time. I don’t normally take issue with things that require those two things, but I’m very busy at the moment. I will write a post in the near future (2 weeks-ish?) responding to your question, but unfortunately, I can’t do it justice in a comment. I hope you understand. Thanks for reading 🙂 PS: When I write the post, I’ll reply to this comment and link it 🙂

        1. Hello again. I haven’t had time to write a lot at all lately, but I haven’t forgotten about writing a response to your question. I guess I’ll just write a shorter, less involved response, and not cite my sources/ facts, as I normally like to do. The crux of the article is that Lululemon, the brand, will disappear. However, the title of the article itself is slightly misleading with regards to Lululemon and a couple of other brands. If you watch the video, the expert that they are interviewing talks about the definition of “disappearing” as they are using it for the purposes of the article. The key here is that they mean it to be in any form, including being bought out. Not necessarily going bankrupt, although for some of the other companies, they seem to see that possibility. So, when they say that Lululemon may disappear, they also mean via a takeover/ buyout. That MAY happen, however, this is where I would normally conduct my own investigation into their financial statements to see how possible this might be. Unfortunately, I haven’t had time, so in the interest of replying in a more timely manner (and I’m already very sorry I’ve taken this long), I will omit that from this response. However, if someone were to take over Lululemon, you then have to consider who and do they have the assets required. Currently, Lululemon faces a lot of competition. Yogasmoga, Glyder, Nike, and countless other brands seek to obtain a piece of the Athletic Apparel market. Anthropologie, Target, Calvin Klein and Nordstrom all have clothes that are carbon copies (design-wise, but usually not fabric (read: quality) wise) of Lululemon designs on their shelves. But the only brand I can imagine taking over Lululemon is Gap. They have the capital. However, they also have Athleta. Athleta is also, in my opinion, Lululemon’s top competitor. Many of the ladies who like Lululemon also like Athleta, and it’s those core customers that Lululemon must keep to survive. So, the question is: Will Gap buy Lululemon or will they continue to compete in the Athletic Apparel field until they win? I think they’ll continue to compete, because they have a really decent chance of winning. They’ll never have all of the market share, but I think their contribution to the greatly reduced growth rate and expansion of Lululemon can not be ignored. Anyways, sorry it took me so long to respond. I usually like to provide more in-depth responses with cited sources. This is merely my opinion. Thanks for commenting 🙂
